What You Need to Know:

Some dealers will offer various promotions such as a low interest rate, a free extended warranty or include a computer tablet with purchase to attract a buyer. when you comparison shop that same year, make and model, you will find that their prices have been inflated to cover the cost to these promotions. unlike the automotive industry, RV manufacturers do not offer financing or extended warranties to help dealers sell their products.

RV financing is offered by the bank's dealer centers such as TD Bank, scotia bank and Desjardins. a dealer advertising a very low interest rate has to buy the rate down at a cost and then they add that cost to their price. they will only offer that low interest rate for a 1 year term. this means after 1 year your interest rate will go up to the current rate being offered by the bank at that time. that 1 year rate may not be in your best financial interest upon renewal.

Extended warranties for RVs are only offered by third party companies. if a dealer is including an extended warranty, the cost is added to the price of the trailer. these promotions are not free.

Some dealers will promote a low price, but when you go to buy the trailer, they have $2000 - $3000 in additional fees.

For these reasons...Ask for tax in pricing when requesting a quote from any dealer.
